Appearances can be deceptive...!!

Nothing is more suited to this phrase than the Motorazr v3i. It looks cool and stylish, but it is HELL to use. It fails to meet the basic purpose of its existence - Aiding communication!!

For anyone out there who is considering buying the phone, here are some pointers:

  • Unpredictable behavior: Be prepared for calls being disconnected even when there is full network. Or spending the first 5 minutes of your conversation just establishing if the person at the other end can hear you.
  • Very low battery life: you barely get 1.5 hours of continuous talk time.
  • Low message memory space: For all the extended memory functionality, etc., the message capacity is barely enough to store 65 messages. And that too when the outbox is empty.
  • User Interface: Obviously, nothing beats the usability of Nokia phones. This phone’s interface is just about ok…
  • Speaker Quality: The top flip up is actually quite cool but the speaker quality of the phone is just about average.

So anyone who plans to buy the phone, think again!!

1 Comments:

  • I have Nokia so wouldn't really know about things listed here. Also, I don't require 1.5 hours of continuous talk time. I suspect not many people do.

I noticed the low message memory space is a bother. But, then do you go back to your old messages. Not many people do, so I was wondering.

Speaker quality: talking for 1.5 hours flat would give you an ear ache, so I guess you would need a phone with good speaker phone.

User Interface: Well that depends really. I mean if you are used to a Motorola then the Nokia would seem less user-friendly, which makes me wonder how much you've earned on the sly writing this phone review. Regardless, a party is due!
